The Toronto Waste Collection App helps residents of Toronto never miss a garbage or recycling pickup. Featuring an intuitive scheduling system and a database comprised of waste collection items with supporting information.

As the sole designer, my role involves conducting comprehensive research and prototyping to guide the development of a refreshed user interface and user experience. During this process, I focus on refining and enhancing the design elements to ensure an improved and user-friendly mobile app.

The waste management system in Toronto impacts residents of all ages, but our focus is on users aged mid-twenties to forties, living in the city. While the service seems straightforward, daily users often encounter questions during the waste disposal process. Analyzing this demographic, we’ve identified common issues and questions that arise, forming the basis for application improvements.
